​Dwayne & Laveda Grier

Pastor Dwayne and Laveda Grier have been married for 24 yrs and from this union were born two handsome sons, Dwayne Jr. and Jeremiah. 

When God spoke this marriage into existence, they had no idea what was being birthed from their unwavering love for each other, genuine care for people, and passion to see lives changed for the kingdom. 

Coming from different church affiliations only created the best blend of baptist and holiness that could ever be imagined.  They quickly realized the same God they served carried them through similar wayward lifestyles that could have taken them out. But God, with his unfailing grace and mercy, kept and chose them for such a time as this. 

In 2010, Dwayne accepted the call of being the Minister of Music at Passion Int'l Church of God and served faithfully for 5 years. 

In 2013, he heard the Lord calling him to go forth and preach the word. 

In 2016, a transition of leadership took place within his current ministry, and Dwayne was led by the Spirit to take up the mantle and fulfill the calling that God had chosen for him, a pastoral assignment. 

To fulfill the new vision and mission that was placed in his heart, the church was renamed Chosen Word Ministries to signify a new chapter in their lives.  The name was birthed out of intentionality because God chose them to go forth, preaching the word and bearing fruit (John 15:16). 

 

Chosen Word Ministries has  prepared a special place for 

anyone that feels unloved, lost, hurt, broken, sick, or mistreated.  Their continual desire is to love people unconditionally, grow their faith through the Word, restore hope to the hopeless, and make disciples worldwide to advance the kingdom through acts of service.

 

Ultimately, CWM wants to hear God say "Well done thy good and faithful servants!"
